Every Christmas, the Penny Arcade: Artists Corner forums mods put together a "Secret Santa" gift art program. Basically, the regulars put their names in a hat and it's a roulette as to who you will be assigned to produce a piece of artwork for as a gift.
This is my first year participating, and my assignment was a dude who goes by "Poker" on the forums. In his description post he said he liked hippos, Star Wars, the color blue, and using himself as his avatar. After a few moments of stewing all these pieces together, this is what I came up with.
I guess this image makes more sense if you've ever seen Harvey Birdman: Attorney at Law, but then again if you HAVEN'T seen that show, where the hell have you BEEN??
Ink wash and watercolor. Total production time, about two hours.
that makes me all warm and fuzzy inside. I now have the desire to go and draw my anthro character Bijoux in kickass female jedi glory.

I laughed when I saw this. I really do like it! This piece did make me remember, I bought a whole kit of watercolor tools, but due to college, I forgot. Since this made me remember and made laugh, I want to put it in my favorites.

Daily Literature Deviations is a group that is dedicated to bringing literature to the forefront of the deviantArt community. We attempt to accomplish this by daily featuring Literature artists from around the community that deserve the recognition, but are not getting it.

In order to support the artists that we feature, we ask that you the news article as well as check out the individual pieces. We understand that each day you may not be able to check out each and every one of the pieces, everyone has their own things going on. We just ask that you make an attempt to help support the growing Literature community.

Isn't it funny how the word 'politics' is made up of the words 'poli' meaning 'many' in Latin, and 'tics' as in 'bloodsucking creatures’?
