Description
Finished for my Advanced Inking Techniques class. This was part of an assignment calling for several 3.5-hour illustrations, finished in brush.
This is a rendition of the Decemberists song "The Mariner's Revenge." It features a couple sailors swallowed by a whale, with one bent on killing the other.
Sorry for the lack of quality on this one. I forgot to scan it before turning it in, and it's currently hanging on the wall of the SCAD Sequential building, so I had to deal with just taking a photo of it. Hopefully you can still make out the line art pretty well!

This is AMAZING! The style works incredibly for the story of the song, and it's amazing how it's both wide-scope and detailed at the same time. Absolutely beautiful work!
